I’m going to be ok

Firstly, thank you to everyone who reads my blog. It started a year and a half ago as a little fun focus but it’s actually inspired me, challenged me and on this occasion maybe saved me a little bit.

I wrote about my horsey confidence meltdown. The support, encouragement and advice I received was truly overwhelming. People from all over the world read it, friends and total strangers wrote about their experiences and with their ideas and cheered me on. It was, as I said, quite overwhelming.

Life is tough and I realise we should all surround ourselves with cheerleaders. The friends and family that want us to be happy and to succeed. The ones that are their to cheer us on when we can’t do things on our own. Through my blog, my cheerleaders have expanded worldwide!

So, I have made a decision. I will battle on.

The plan – gotta love a plan!

1) Don’t do it alone – I’m so lucky to have the two best people right by my side, the mother and the aunt (who even wrote a book called Perfect Confidence!). As well as the aforementioned cheerleaders.

2) Take things back a step – I’m going to stop expecting to be jumping Hickstead and be proud at the smaller achievements.

3) Ride a horse I trust for a bit to get me fitter and enjoying riding again. I know a little coloured pony that fits the bill!

4) Get some counselling – it’s time I truly dealt with a few things.

Baby steps, although maybe not this far!

I will definitely share my journey.

On a not totally unrelated topic, I will battling on with other things too – getting my YouTube channel up and running plus getting Pie’s book written! Lots of exciting things ahead!

Sadly ” The Life of Pie” is already taken

  1. Actually, I think ‘The Life of Pie’ is a great title. You might want a subtitle as well, though. So long as the cover design isn’t anything like Yann Martel’s book, you should be fine 🙂

  2. I’m so pleased you have an action plan. It’s the best way to plot your forward steps while still giving you time to work through things. Don’t worry if you have to go back a step or two from time to time. Sometimes you get to see things from a different perspective when you do!
